Benjamin Franklin Lively
I have two old photographs, both including Benjamin Franklin LIVELY. The photographs were taken outside two different houses. One photograph includes Benjamin with a group of 21 people including men and woman and one child. The second photograph includes Benjamin with a woman and three children. Benjamin appears to be in his 20’s or 40’s in the photographs with both appearing to have been taken in the early 1900’s. There is no studio or location included on the photographs. He is also identified as “Dad”.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Benjamin and his family:
Benjamin Franklin LIVELY was b. 6 Oct 1881 or 1882 in Cullen, KY to parents Ransom Powell LIVELY (1854-1885) and George Annah ROSE (1858-1884). Benjamin had one sibling: a brother John William LIVELY. Benjamin was married three times. His first wife was Mary Belle ROBB (1888-1953) who he married on 31 Aug 1910 in Courtland, KS and they had 6 children including Earl Benjamin; Ernest Robb; Lowell Brooks; Alice Lorraine; Dwight Bethel; and George Ransom LIVELY, all born between 1911 and 1920. They divorced in the early 1930’s and Benjamin married his second wife, Lovina HANKS PERCIVAL (1880-1974) on 2 Dec 1938 in Vancouver, WA.
His third wife was Christine or Christina STARR FISKUM (1886-1974) who he married on 29 Jun 1962 in Multnomah Co., OR. Benjamin died 3 or 4 Jun 1970 in Portland, OR and is buried in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Portland, OR.
