Bernarda Martinez 1929 - 2011

Bernarda (Bencomo) Martinez was born on May 20, 1929 in Hanover, Grant County, New Mexico United States to Anastacio Bencomo and Rita Bencomo, and had siblings Robert Bencomo, Domingo Bencomo, Joseph Bencomo, and Antonio Bencomo. She married Ben Martin Martinez in 1951 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California and they later divorced. They had children Connie Hansen, Lillian Chavira, Patricia Martinez, and Ruben Bencomo. She was the parent of Diana Arroyos. Bernarda Martinez died at age 82 years old on August 9, 2011 in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, and was buried in August 2011 at Memory Lane Cemetery - in Silver City, Grant County.
