Bessie worked at the public library and after retirement moved from Erwin, TN to Miami, Fl living with her niece Louise Love and Louise's daughter Drusilla Love until her death. She enjoyed reading to children and was nicknamed Quilly because of a story she read to them about a porcupine by that name. She also liked to read Romance Magazines and chewed tobacco. She never married. She was my great Aunt.

Bessie White of Hialeah, Miami-Dade County, Florida was born on May 6, 1886 to Laban W. White and Emma Mae Erwin. She had siblings Frances Fanny (Mae) White and Ada Juanita (White) Scruggs. Bessie White died at age 81 years old in February 1968.
