Beulah Melancon died at age 86 years old on May 19, 2013 in Duplessis, Ascension County.

    A native of New Orleans and resident of Duplessis, she passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the age of 86. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm and Patricia Melancon; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Melancon; sons, Melvin, Sedgie, Jessie Melancon; parents, Viola Sauls and Arthur Duncan; grandson, Sedgie Melancon, Jr. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until a service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery in Donaldsonville. Pallbearers will be Jeff Melancon, Melvin Melancon Jr., Chance Melancon, Joey Melancon, Chad Melancon and Ray Charles. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.oursofh.com. - See more at:
