His father Albert was born on January 21, 1911 in Tyronza, Poinsett County, Arkansas, United States of America. He first married Maggie Louise Smith (1915–1977) in 1930 and after her passing in 1977, later re-married on July 1, 1981 to Erma Olive Fisher (1901–1985). He passed away on June 2, 2010 in Booneville, Logan County, Arkansas, United States of America.
