    Bobby Joe Summers, 70, Big Springs Rd., Elizabethton, died Thursday, April 22, 2004 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was a son of Edith Hall Hambrick, Johnson City, and the late Al Summers. He was a retired steel worker. Mr. Summers had served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include three sons, Bobby Joe Summers, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Jeff Summers, Florida, and Gregory Summers, of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Heidi Summers, Florida; a brother, Gary Hambrick, Florida, and a sister, Helen Renwick, Florida. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2004 in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home, with the Rev. Dan Hyder officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Monday. Condolences may be e-mailed to [contact link]al Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
