    Bobby Ray Witcher, 68, died April 28, 2008, at his residence in Tupelo. He was born in the Bissell community of Lee County to Quinton and Winnie Bass Witcher. A lifelong area resident, he was a longtime self-employed businessman in the construction business. He previously worked at Kimbrough Investments in mortgage lending and with Tupelo Drafting and Blueprint Company. At his death, he was serving as general manager of Witcher Construction in Tupelo. He was a member of Tupelo Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed bird hunting, raising bird dogs and going to field trials. His most important role in life was being a husband, father and grandfather to his family. Services were at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland-Harris Funeral Directors with burial in the Witcher Family Plot at White Zion Cemetery in Pontotoc. Survivors included his wife of 51 years, Sara Cole Witcher of Tupelo, whom he married July 22,1957; three sons, Rick Witcher (Teresa) of Brandon, and Greg Witcher (Linda) and Chris Witcher (Sonya), both of Tupelo; his grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Ashley, Skyler, Curry, Shannon and Wesley Quinton; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Junior Witcher (Billie) of Tupelo; one sister, Sarah Goodger of Pontotoc; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Reed, Harvey, Curtis, Leroy, Jimmy and Rachel.
