Tupelo-Sara Cole Witcher, 70, died suddenly Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Tupelo on July 8, l941 to the late Woodrow and Marie Caldwell Cole and lived her entire life in East Tupelo. She attended Lawhon School and later Tupelo High School. She and her late husband, Bobby Witcher, owned and operated Tupelo Drafting and Blueprint Company for many years. Her last employment was with Jitney Jungle before her health failed and she took retirement. A member of the Tupelo Freewill Baptist Church and great fan of gospel music, she loved her children and grandchildren dearly and her dogs, Bruno and Tee Tee. She had a keen sense of civic involvement and always kept abreat of current events. She was an avid conversationalist and reader before her eyesight failed.
Services will be at 4 PM Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Bill Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in the Witcher family plot at White Zion Cemetery.

Survivors include her three children: Rick Witcher (Teresa) of Brandon, Miss; Greg Witcher and Kris Witcher (Kerry Bowers) all of Tupelo. Her grandchildren: Alex, Emily, Ashley, Skyler, Curry, Shannon and Wesley Quinton. 6 great grandchildren: Kade, Braden, Ashton, Eian, Leah and Lindsey. Her sister and caregiver, Sylvia Cole Comer of Tupelo. Her brother : Larry Cole (Billie) of Tupelo . a sister in law: Sarah Witcher Goodger of Booneville and her brother in law: Quinton “Junior” Witcher of Tupelo. Numerous cousins and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Witcher on April 28, 2008 and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Byrd, Davey Cole, Joey Cole, Woody Comer, David Gillentine and Buddy Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Witcher and Bruce Rushing.
