Brittany went to Glenoaks Elementary School, Pat M Neff Middle School and attended high school at Tom C Clark in San Antonio, Coppell High School, Lewisville High School and graduated a year early in 2006 from a home school program through Penn Foster High School. She attempted college at San Antonio College intending to work towards her degree in Criminology and possibly minoring in Photography.

Brittany was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness from the time she was 3 years old, however, she did not wish to remain part of the religion despite the pressure from her family. She is currently a non denominational baptized Christian.
Professional Career

Inspired by her widely known and very highly respected policeman father, Brittany forged her own path that followed alongside of his in the field of Law Enforcement. Being raised in law enforcement her whole life, she began her career towards criminal justice in 2008 working at the Bexar County Office of Emergency Management. While employed there, she earned several certifications such as Incident Command certifications through FEMA, Basic Emergency Management certification as well as becoming a certified Community Emergency Response Team volunteer. In 2011, she accepted a job out of state and became a Mission Operations Specialist involving satellite communications through a grant funded civilian contracting job with Boecore Inc., the Department of Defense and NASA at the Kirtland Air Force base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She successfully obtained a Secret Clearance to perform her job duties until the position was eliminated when funding ran out. She then came back to Texas and accepted a position as a Records Identificaion and Fingerprint Analyst Technician at the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office along with another position years down the line working in Pretrial as an executive assistant who carried out many different roles including the transportation of released inmates to their court ordered programs or inpatient drug facilities as well as preparing court documents for the magistrate judge. In 2019, she accepted a job with the city of San Antonio as a Warrant Officer. During her 12 months in that position, she earned her Texas State Notary License, Full Access NCIC/TCIC certification and was working towards obtaining her Texas Municipal Court License when she received an opportunity for her dream job she had longed for. After over a decade of submitting applications and accepting a handful of interviews, she finally had her chance to work for the San Antonio Police Department where her father had retired as the Captain for the Department after nearly 40 years on the force and her mother earned a respectable and memorable reputation as a police dispatcher that single handedly took over the communications department on her own due to her unparalleled job performance, skills and her confident assertiveness when voicing her commands over the radio, earning herself a well known nickname in the department. Brittany earned her Telecommunicator License after successfully passing the required licensing exam she spent 6 weeks studying for from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and TEEX in 2021 after she accepted a position as Police Communications Expediter. While employed with SAPD, she earned several more certifications including Crisis Management, Crisis Intervention, TDD/TTY Certification, and recertification of her FEMA Incident Command certificates. Her long time and deeply rooted passion for law enforcement and the field of criminal justice, along with her compassion, empathy and above average emotional intelligence from her professional and personal life experiences, she became an expert at her job in a short amount of time which gave her a unique and unforgettable edge above the rest. She stood out to her superiors for her excellent speed typing ability as well as her gift of having a balanced perspective from both the officers side as well as the callers, empowering her with the ability to understand the callers she dealt with in ways that the people of San Antonio desperately needed qnd most of the employees were unable or unwilling to provide. This resulted in frequent callers no longer feeling the need to call as often which freed up more officers to nelp out on more emergent calls and several members of her community had finally felt they’d been heard and reached someone who was able to give them what they needed to resolve their situations rather than rushing them off the phone as fast as possible, judging their situations to be unimportant or even annoying, She even saved the life of one person who was spiraling deep down into a dangerous level of depression from going through an unexpected and messy divorce with his wife who was fighting him for custody of their daughter while threatening to take her to Mexico with her family and severing his relationship with her permanently. He was very aggressive and during the first call with Brittany as he was expecting her to be like the others he had spoken with before whom he felt were very rude and disrespectful and did not care about his situation when telling him there was nothing that could be done to stop his wife from taking his daughter away or even told him to stop calling. Brittany’s patience, compassion, and ability to decipher and recognize the root cause of his verbal abuse towards her, the caller apologized for his behavior and expressed his gratitude for finally reaching a person who cared enough to make efforts to help him and make him feel he had finally heard, He called in weekly, requesting that Brittany handle all his calls from that point forward stating he only trusted her with his case. After several long phone calls per week, the caller finally began to eat again, gain healthy weight, maintained gainful employment and was even motivated to get the help he needed with a therapist to get his life back on track for the sake of his child, which left a lasting impression on his life and he could not commend her enough for helping him find himself again and saving his life. In 2023, Brittany reached her goal of getting her foot in the door for the career she had been working diligently towards her entire adult life when she was hired by the Helotes Police Department as an Emergency Dispatcher. Unfortunately, her employment was short lived at that department due to complications with an ongoing chronic health issue from a sudden onset of an autoimmune disorder and an unexpected miscarriage. She resigned from the department to recover and process the loss and her husband took over employment responsibilities. She still actively maintains her Telecommunicator License which remains active and in good standing with TCOLE as she prepares to re-enter the world of Police Communications in the near future.
