Bruno Raffin Obituary
Bruno Raffin, 77, of Munster, Indiana, formerly of Chicago's Roseland Area, passed away Fri-day, February 11, 1994 at the University of Chicago Hospital.
Husband of the late Shirley (nee Young); father of Michael (Sus an) and Thomas (Betty) Raffin; Ward, Angela Lit and Hillarg Jean; brother of the late Hum-bert "AI" (Jean) and late Roland (Adeline) Raffin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17th, 10 a.m. from Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th St., Chicago to St. Thomas More Church, Mun. ster for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment, Assumption Cemetery, Glen-wood, Illinois. Visitation, Wednesday, February 16th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Raffin retired in 1986 as vice president of the family owned Raffin Construction Company in Chicago. A Fenger High School and DePaul University graduate, he starred in football, wrestling and track. He was a 1979 inductee in the Seland-Pullman Sports Hall of Fame; a four year Army Corps of Engineering Veteran of World War II.
He built the Alaskan Highway and served in New Guinea.
