Mrs. Green and her husband, Phillip, operated a dairy farm near Cloudcroft, NM. They had two children, a boy and a girl. They loved their dogs and Mrs. Green raised Siamese cats. After the children grew up and left, and Phillip passed away, Mrs. Green sold the farm and moved to Alamogordo. She was active in the senior center there. Mrs. Green made beautiful quilts. My mother was her friend and bought several quilts. The two women corresponded until my mother's death in 2002. I had one of Mrs. Green's Siamese cats, brought to me in Texas by my mother as a tiny kitten. 'Pywacket' lived to be 32 years old and brought us much joy.
