She was in a relationship with Henry Augustine Gates, and had children Anna Mary Gates, Guy Gates, and Henry Augustine Gates Junior. Caroline Gates died at age 48 years old on June 15, 1925 in Deming, WA, and was buried on June 17, 1925 at Welcome Cemetery 5385 Mosquito Lake Rd, in Deming, Whatcom County.

    Caroline Cynthia or better known as Callie was born in Texas and came with her parents John and Susan Riddle to Whatcom County Washington in 1887, They were pioneers having moved there before it was Washington State. She married Henry Augustine Gates when she was but 15 years old on 22 Dec 1891. They had six children and she died at age 48 of breast cancer. She was buried 17 June 1925 in Welcome Cemetery and when her husband died in 1952 she was moved to be beside him at the Greenacres Cemetery in Ferndale Washington.

4 generations of eldest daughters the youngest is Cynthia Caroline Kline her mother behind her is Anna Mary Gates Kline, her mother beside her is Caroline Cynthia Riddle Gates and her mother sitting down is Susan Caroline Tomlinson Riddle. The youngest in this picture is my Great Grandmother.
