My grandpa had a green thumb he had a couple of gardens some he tended for friends and a couple of his own. Some of my favorite memories are from riding in the basket of his three wheeled bicycle. Now according to him I used to pull onions out of the ground wipe them on my clothes and eat them I would say no I didn't but he would just nod.
We would spend the day picking peas and beans in the garden sometimes greens. Then when we came back from visiting relatives in Alabama with peanuts we would clean and boil them.
I miss him so much he never got to meet my husband or my children.
