Cecil was a WWII veteran who had been a prisoner of war. His older brother Norman died in the same war. Cecil was an intelligent man who had many skills (electrical, plumbing, & horticulture to name a few). He enjoyed tending to his orchard and had a talent for growing various spices which he used to make his own condiments and jellies. He also used the grapes he grew to make wine. Cecil loved reading, bird watching and growing african violets and roses. He was a sensitive and kind man who had an excellent sense of humor. He honored his parents, Ona & Willie. To his children, he stressed the importance of education, being self-sufficient, and having integrity. It's been forty-five years since I last saw him, but through the sadness, I thank God for him remaining a precious song in my heart. Libby
