    Charles was a paratrooper and made over thirty combat jumps during ww2. He later became a rural route carrier for Vanderburg county. He was a song minister and had quite a beautiful voice at New Bethel Church in Evansville Indiana. Later converted to Catholic after second marriage. Charles had five children with Lillian A. Walters. Was married for over twenty five years then became remarried in 1966. He had heart problems early in 1985, but recovered. He was a good father and provider. He succumbed to numerous bouts of cancer, on 9 December 2001 He fought until the last breath with his children at his side.
