He had siblings Thomas Joseph Ramsdale, Percy Alfred Ramsdale, Daisy Isbla Ramsdale, Ethel Annie Charlotte Ramsdale, and Louisa Jane (Ramsdale) Franklin. He married Olive Peace Higginbottom in 1935, and had a child Dorothy June Ramsdale. Charles Ramsdale died at age 75 years old on July 28, 1989 in Heidelberg.
