He had siblings Percy Alfred Ramsdale, Charles Edward Ramsdale, Daisy Isbla Ramsdale, Ethel Annie Charlotte Ramsdale, and Louisa Jane (Ramsdale) Franklin. Thomas Ramsdale married Dorothy Nettleton in 1939, and died at age 85 years old on June 4, 1992 in Prahran, City of Stonnington County.
