    Charles O. Schmiz, 74 of Cahokia, Illinois born June 28, 1938 in Stookey Township, Illinois. passed away on May 15, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Schmiz was a retired truck driver. Preceded in death by his wife Barbara Sue Schmiz nee Ohms. Several brothers & sisters, his parents, Albert & Mary Greve, Schmiz. Surviving are his children, Steven (Debbie) Schmiz, Paul (Chalee) Schmiz, Michael (Jennifer) Schmiz, Donald "Donnie" Schmiz, Ronald "Ronnie" Schmiz of Cahokia, Il. Brother John (Ester) Schmiz. Sisters, Pauline Elker and Sue. eight grandchildren, John, Megan, Jacob, Katie, Abby, Heather, Patrick, and Adam. He was a dear Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin & Friend. Friends may call on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois Funeral services will be on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Allen Rupert officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
