  • Introduction

    Christie Accrington Peters was born on the ship Accrington in 1863 on it’s voyage from Plymouth England to Lyttleton New Zealand. His parents were Isaac Honey/Henry Peters and Arabella Peters (née Millar). Christie was named after the ship’s captain with his middle name being the ship he was born on. Christie also had an older brother on the voyage Robert Isaac Peters. Over the coming years there were possibly seven other siblings added to the Peters family in New Zealand with Christie being the only member relocating to Victoria, Australia. Christie married Caroline and had five children, Eunice, Holly, Arabella, Chris and George. Caroline died on 18th Jan 1916. Christie then married Louisa Scherer in 1917.
