She married Bernard Joseph Firth, and had children Desmond Allen Firth, Francis Firth, and George Firth. Clara Firth died at age 88 years old in April 1977, and was buried on April 28, 1977 at SPRINGVALE CEMETERY Tenth Ave, in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County, VIC Australia.

In 1888, in the year that Clara Isabel (Jeffries) Firth was born, on January 12th, the 'Schoolhouse Blizzard' blanketed Dakota Territory. Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas were hit, leaving 235 dead. Many of those who perished were children on their way home from school. The day was relatively warm when it began and the blizzard hit unexpectedly, catching most by surprise.

Now an unincorporated territory of the U.S., the Canal Zone had been previously held by the French, who were constructing a canal. The U.S. took over the construction of the Panama Canal and it was finally finished in 1914, when it was opened to commercial shipping. The United States held the Canal Zone until 1979.
