Clifford Colonso Hay was born in Nurmurkah, Victoria. His parents were James Arabian Hay and Rachael Hay (nee Kellas). He had 10 brothers and sisters. They were: o Ethel born 1886 o Albert Ernst born 1887 o Amy Isabella born 1889 o Irene Ruby born 1891 o Leslie Harold born 1893 o Florence born 1896 o Myrtle Lillian born 1897 o Clifford Colenso born 1901 o Wilfred Lionel Fraser born 1904 o Winifred Jean born 1907 o Thomas Kellas born 1909 In 1923 he married Lillian Cummins. Clifford Colenso Hay worked as a fireman in Melbourne. They lived at 141 Grey Street, East Melbourne, Victoria. Clifford and his wife, Lillian, did not have any children. Clifford Hay passed away on 5 March 1964, aged 62 years. He was cremated at the Fawkner Cremetorium, Victoria. On his death certificate the cause of death is listed as bronchopneumonia - 3 days. His also listed as having cerebral thrombosis for 3 months.
