Obituary dated Friday 1 May 1942 Constable Thomas Kelso Hay, 36, was fatally injured in a gun accident at Boomahnoomoonah, near Cobram on Tuesday. For the last 2 years he had been stationed at Shepparton, Victoria, and was spending a holiday at his brother's property at Boomahnoomoonah and was driving in a sulky with a nephew when a rifle was accidentally discharged. He is survived by a widow and 2 children who are living at Shepparton. The funeral took place yesterday at Nurmurkah, where Constable Hay lived with his parents before he joined the police force 9 years ago.
