On February 10, 1946 he married Harriet Kresge Moyer (1924–2007) in Bethlehem, Lehigh, Pennsylvania, USA. The couple lived in Morrison, Noble, Oklahoma, USA and had two children together including a son Charles Rex Rice (1948-1952).

Clyde Rex Rice, born in Stillwater Okla, Died in Enid Okla. He was the son of Benj. Lawson Rice and Glen Jones. He was a vet with a purple heart. He was badly hurt in the battle of Palermo in WWll. He was placed on the "dead Pile" until someone saw an arm move. He was taken out and sent home with a purple heart and a plate in his head. He went to work for the VA in Enid Okla. From there they moved to Kansas and Calif. After that he moved back to Okla. He had a very large and very loving family there. He had 3 children. A girl from his first union. A girl and a boy from his marriage to a wonderful lady who loved him very much. The boy passed away at 4 of polio after having it for 4 days. He now has one girl, which he may never have met, in Okla and and another in Pa. who he was able to know and love.
