Colin Campbell Buchanan of Kburra Australia was born on April 7, 1859 in Ballarat, City of Ballarat County, VIC to James Buchanan and Margaret Campbell Buchanan. He had siblings Margaret Ann Buchanan, Archibald Campbell Buchanan, John Alexander Buchanan, William Buchanan, Catherine Buchanan, and Robert Buchanan. He married Catherine Mcleod (Murchison) Buchanan, and had children Flora Buchanan Hogan, Margaret Campbell Buchanan, Euphemia Buchannan, Catherine Buchanan Lancaster, James Malcolm Buchanan, William Alexander Buchanan, and Emily Buchanan. Colin Buchanan died at age 76 years old on September 2, 1935 in Korumburra, South Gippsland Shire County.

The Great Southern Advocate. Korumburra. 5th September 1935. MR. C. C. BUCHANAN. Still another of the pioneers has passed along. On Monday Mr. Colin Campbell Buchanan died at 5he home of his daughter, Mrs. Hogan. Deceased was among the early pioneers of the district. Some years ago he came to reside in Kardella road, but after disposing of the property lived with his daughter. Deceased was 75 years of age. The remains were interred in the Korumburra cemetery.
