Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

Colin Ian Watson was known to his family as ‘Ian’. Ian had a fiancée in Dover called ‘Bobbie’ who he loved dearly and looked forward to marrying on his return from Burma but this was not to be as unfortunately Ian was shot in the head by the Japanese on 21/01/45. His mother received his belongings in a box back in Dover sometime later, there was still sand in his shoes. Ian was a handsome, sweet and brave young man who gave his life for his country, leaving a huge hole in our family’s history. He was greatly missed and always in our ♥️ hearts. RIP uncle Ian
