Carol Smythe
Cora Smythe was born Cora May Green. She married Frederick Smythe. She was my husband's aunt. Fred and Cora raised my husband's father, Harold Edwin Smythe and his sister Emily Ann Smythe, after their parents had both died at a young age. Fred's sister (Harold and Emily's mother) was Sarah Louise Smythe. She was married to Edwin V. Abbott.
Fred and Cora Smythe also adopted and raised Verne Lunore. Fred's only son by birth was Roland Frederick Smythe. Roland ' s mother was Roxanna, a young woman that worked in the boarding house that Fred and Cora ran in Elgin, Wa. near Gig Harbor.
