Cyril Devenport was born on October 24, 1893 in Windsor, VIC Australia to Sydney Augustus Devenport and Ellen Blanche (Phillips) Devenport, and had siblings Howard Vernon Devenport, Sydney Devenport, Doris Ross, and Sylvia (Devenport) Halford. He married Lillian Devenport, and they were married until Cyril's death on November 29, 1962. Cyril Devenport was buried at Springvale Botanical Cemetery, 600 Princes Hwy, in Springvale, Greater Dandenong City County.
