Daniel Lenaghan of Glendaruel, City of Ballarat County, VIC Australia was born in 1796 in Lurgan, County Armagh County, Northern Ireland. He was married to Mary Lynch Lenaghan, and had children John Lenaghan, Nicholas Lenaghan, Daniel Lenaghan, Patrick Lenaghan, and Richard Lenaghan. Daniel Lenaghan died at age 76 years old on March 4, 1873 in Glendaruel, City of Ballarat County, VIC, and was buried at Coghill's CreekCemetery in Coghills Creek.

    Daniel, who was born in Northern Ireland, immigrated to Geelong, Victoria, Australia on September 3rd, 1852 with his family. His daughter, Alice, born in 1851, died on board the ship of diarrhea. He lived in Coghills Creek, Australia; Ballarat, Australia; and Creswick, Australia. After completing their indenture, Daniel and his family moved to Ballarat, where his son, Nicholas, bought two 80 acre sections of land at a Government sale in August of 1855.

    Daniel Lenaghan married Mary Lynch (1807 - 1891) in 1825 in Ireland and they had twelve children: John, Annie, Nicholas, William, Bridget, Mary (1838 -1838), Mary, (1839 - 1918), Daniel, Patrick, Richard, Alice and Gubby Lenaghan. Daniel, Mary, and ten of their children, are buried together in Coghills Creek Cemetery, Coghills Creek, Ballarat City, Victoria, Australia.
