Therefore, David was Argentinian and Russian on his maternal line.

He is buried in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. His headstone is inscribed: "I will fear no evil for Thou art with me" in both English and Hebrew.

He had blue eyes, brown hair, and a "light" complexion. David B. Silver married Joan Reiter on June 20th, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. Joan and David had one daughter.
