    David's father was Charles Benton Miles, 1909-1972, and his mother was Lucille Ann Smith, 1914-1988. He had a brother, Joseph Paul Miles, 1944-2007, and a sister (living). David married Dorothy A Nelsen, 1941 - 2009, (they were 19 and 17) on July 18 1958 and they had a son, Dean James Miles, 1973 - 2012. They divorced on November 19 1974 in Randall county TX after having a total of 8 children. He married (2) Mary Miles. (Scroll down to read his obituary)

    From Find A Grave: David C. Miles, 68, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with Sheldon DeVries, associate pastor of Amarillo South Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon with military honors by DAV Chapter No. 26. Mr. Miles was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Woodbine, Iowa. He moved to Glenwood, Minn., and graduated in 1957. He loved a variety of country music. Mr. Miles loved fishing and spending time working in the yard. He also loved spending time with his family and even with his special friend, Rocky. Mr. Miles was a loving and caring person who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lucille Miles; and a brother, Joe Miles. Survivors include his wife, Mary Miles; six sons, David Miles and wife Diane of Fort Worth, Danny Miles and wife Sue of Atalissa, Iowa, Darrell Miles and wife Regina of Cary, N.C., Donavan Miles of Canyon, Dale Miles and wife Ann of Mesquite and Dean Miles of Canyon; three daughters, Diane Sharber and husband Jimmy and Melinda Moore, all of Amarillo, and Darlene Lemmon of Fort Worth; a sister, Ruth Coursey of Princeton; a sister-in-law, Sherrie Miles of Groves; and 12 grandchildren.
