Debbie's Mom's Obit: Helen Ann Suttle

Helen Ann Suttle, 68, of Terre Haute died at 12:05 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, in her residence. She was formerly a singer, musician, songwriter and composer.
She had appeared at several clubs and lounges in the Wabash Valley, and at Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter. She had performed with Boone Dunbar and
Jim Nabors, and the Imperials recorded one of her songs, "I'll Let Nothing Separate Me From The Love of God." She was born Oct. 9, 1935, in Oaktown to
Charles Ellis Holt and Helen Dunn Holt. She is survived by her husband, J. Howard Suttle. Other survivors include three sons, Randall Lee McNeill and his
fiancee, Joanne Chesterfield, both of Terre Haute, Steven Ray McNeill and his wife, Susan, of Indianapolis, and Clinton J. McNeill of Memphis, Tenn.; one
daughter, Debra Ann Mason of Indianapolis; two sisters, Ruth Holt and Nancy Gambill, both of Sullivan; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three
nephews; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild. She was a graduate of Farmersburg High School. She was a member of the Wabash
Valley Musicians Hall of Fame and the Terre Haute Jazz Club. Cremation is scheduled. Callahan Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
