Introduction

Denise is the third child of Leo David & Helen Korkia. She is also the mother of three biological children, I am her second child. All three of us are girls. Denise now has eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

That part is still a mystery to us. She knows her father came to America from Finland to serve in the World War. He was in the American marines and air force. And that's when he met and married Helen. Helen's mother was adopted but didn't have any information on her birth family. We have been told she originated from Italy but later family research shows she was Hebrew descended. So I'm trying to piece it all together myself. For my kids and me.

She was an accountant on base like her mother, and then for a few private companies thereafter. Most importantly she was a extremely busy mother and wife.
Personal Life & Family

She adored animals as a child and spent many summers volunteering for animals hospitals as well as participating in the local 4 H clubs. Her fondest childhood memories were taking care of and riding horses. In addition to playing in her grandmother's gardens.
