She enjoyed playing harmless pranks during family get together and keeping everyone laughing.

Helen Marie Korkia
I don't remember much about Helen, she passed away when I was very young. She was my grandmother, she was beautiful.. she worked on the military base in Indian Head MD and absolutely loved her 3 children, grandchildren and many cats she seemed to have adopted. I remember her pulling in the driveway in a red car that matched her red fingernail polish, and the cats would coming running out of no where to greet her. She had pretty smile and kept her hair impeccable. I spent more time with her mother, my great grandmother, who resided just a few miles away. Although I have some fond and fun memories of grandma Helen. My grandfather didn't like us kids to have junk food but she always kept a secret stash of delicious snacks for us regardless. We would sit on this giant swing out front and eat them when he was busy in his tool shed and I admired how feminine she was in everything she said and did. I didn't understand the term then but looking back, that's what I admired and knew of her the most. So "lady-like" and soft, always put together well.
