Denzel Hayes Washington Sr. was born on October 5, 1909 in Buckingham, Buckingham County, Virginia United States. He was married to Lennis Lowe Washington in 1947 in Mount Vernon, Westchester County, New York and they later divorced in 1968 in Mount Vernon. He had children Lorice Angela Washington, Denzel Hayes Washington Jr., and David Michael Washington. Denzel Washington died at age 81 years old on August 8, 1991 in Charlottesville, Albemarle County, VA, and was buried on August 15, 1991 at White Plains Rural Cemetery 167 N Broadway, in White Plains, Westchester County, NY.
