Introduction

Dirk and I met on a Therapeutic Touch retreat in June of 1994 and again in 1995.We bonded at our first meeting and shared our life stories with one another, kept in mail contact for years and then drifted apart. He was there to try and find relief for his constant pain. We often talked about what life might be like if he ever became pain-free. He loved talking about his daughter, Chelsea, and the pain seemed to subside whenever she was the focus of his thoughts I thought of him often, but this year, at retreat, I felt his presence so strongly that I feared he had passed on. He was one of the kindest men I ever knew and I hope Chelsea knows how much he loved her. Miss you, buddy. Jim Schultz
