    Marie (Gryder) Davis went to be with our Lord at the age of 94, June 4, 2005. Her husband of 59 years Henry Davis, son Marshall Davis and granddaughter Danielle Marie Davis preceded her in death. Marie is survived by 5 children: sons and daughters-in-law James & Doris Davis of Turlock, CA, Audrey & Janis Davis of Evans, LA, Oscar & Jimmie Davis of Pasadena, TX, daughter and sons-in-law Ann & Gene Nethery of Milam, Tx., Nettie & Mike Carroll of Angleton, Tx, daughter-in-law Charlotte Davis of Shore Acres, Tx., 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Marie served the Lord faithfully as a Charter member of Second Baptist church of Pasadena, Tx., a long tome member of First Baptist Church of Romayor, Tx., and a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Milam, Tx.

My Great grandparents Henry Thomas Davis and Dixie Marie Gryder Davis and children. The tallest boy is my grandfather James William Davis. The other boys are named Oscar, Marshal, and Audrey, but I am not sure in what order. The little girl is Annie. They had one more daughter whose name is Nettie Jane. Dixie Marie's parents were Annie Lou Blacklock and William Robert Gryder. Thomas Henry's parents were Marshall Abner Davis and Bernettie Mae Williamson.

I am sorry. My great grandparents Thomas Henry and Dixie Marie are both from East Texas. Dixie Marie was born in Bunyan, Texas. They lived in the Erath area, and also in Liberty Co. where Henry died. Dixie Marie is still living.
