An impromptu invitation brough me to El Chico's in Arcadia, recentlly, where I was met and entertained by two of the most talented gentlemen, GLENN MOORE on guitar and DON AVALIER, singing marvelous harmony to Glenn's delightful songs and expert musicianship.
Their voice blend was superb, but more than this, was their comraderie and sheer joy of entertaining you saw shining through their performance. Among the many melodic tunes done, was believe it or not, the Mexican "Cucurucucu" . . . but done in German, for Glenn is also an accomplished linguist. His parody, written by Allen Sherman, on "The Mexican Hat Dance" was charming. Don Avalier had the personality and showmanship to blend so beautifully with Glenn's versatility and charm . . . Glenn is there for you to enjoy daily while lunching or Sunday and Tuesday evenings at El Chico's.
