    Don Stephens Ferguson, loving son and father passed away at the Butterfly Wing Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA on November 11, 2015 at the age of 64. He was born May 30, 1951 in Shreveport, LA, and resided in Baton Rouge, LA for the majority of his adult life. To anyone that knew him, he lived life on his own terms, he enjoyed all that it had to offer and appreciated the simple pleasures of it. He was a skilled carpenter, a craft passed down to him by his Father. As a Father he passed this craft to his three sons. He was married in 1974 to the love of his life, with whom he remain married to for nearly 30 years. Don suffered in recent years with end stage COPD, his passing has set him free from this worlds pain, suffering and the restrictions that his physical body held him to on this earth. He is survived by his Children: Don Stephens Ferguson II, Daniel Ferguson, Anthony C. Ferguson, and Shelly M. Ferguson. Grandchildren: Nicole Lovell, Cody Clow, Gabrielle B. Landry, Victoria M. Ferguson, Daniel C. Robinson, Chloe S. Ferguson, and Bethany F. Ferguson. Great grandchildren: Talan J. Lovell and Brynn C. Lovell. As well as Murphy, his dog, that has been his companion for the last 10 years. He is preceded in death by his parents: Voniceal G [Stephens] Ferguson (1989) and Don SoRrelle Ferguson (1990). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at The Venue, 13475 Highway 431, St. Amant, LA. Interment will be family only at Greys Creek Baptist Church, where both of his parents were members of the church before their passing and also his Fathers final resting place.
