Introduction

Donald C. Jabobs was born to father Edward W Jacobs and mother Esther M Frost. According to the 1930 Census, the family was living in Bucyrus Ohio (where both Edward and Esther were born) and in the household were Edward and Esther and children Wilma M, 15, Vernon J, 15 (stepson), Maurice E, 13, and Donald age 5. According to Donald's WW2 enlistment record, he enlisted on Feb 6 1943 in Columbus Ohio. He had 3 years of high school, was a US citizen, and enlisted in the rank of Private, was single with no dependents. At that time, he was 68 inches tall and weighed 158 lbs. He was released on January 7, 1946. Donald died at Marion General Hospital in Marion OH at 10:42a on Oct 19 1993.
