MARTIN, Donald G., 73, of Wellsburg, W.Va., died Friday, February 6, 2009, at home.He was born May 4, 1935, in Dean Dale, Ohio, the son of the late Arthur and Lucille Martin. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He retired from Weirton Steel after 37 years of work. He was a Charter Member of the Franklin Community Volunteer Fire Dept. where he served as Fire Chief for nine years. He was a life member of Colliers Sportsmans Club and also a member of Wellsburg Masonic Lodge AF&AM No. 2 and Knights Templer and was a Baptist by faith.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Martin Jr. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Martin; one son, Donald G. Martin Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Brilliant, Ohio; two daugh ters, Mary Ann McClain of Wellsburg, and Susan Devore and her husband, Wayne, of Mingo Junction, Ohio; one sister Doris Lewis; seven grandchildren including Jerry McClain whom lives at the residence; four great- grand children; two nieces Janet Fischer of Follansbee, W.Va., and Tanna Sue Blanchard of Florida.Visitation is Monday, February 9, 2009, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
