Donn Calvert Camlin of Desoto, KS was born on October 13, 1937 in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania United States to Florence D Camlin and Calvert D Camlin. He married Maria Santos in 1957 in Provincetown, Barnstable County, Massachusetts and they later divorced in 1964. They had children Donald R Camlin, Robin Camlin DiMarino, and Darren Calvert Camlin. He also married Laura Jeanne Gummoe in January 1965 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio and they later divorced in 1974. They had children Chris Jonn Camlin, Kelly Lynn Camlin, and Carla Danielle Camlin.

Early Life & Education

Donn graduated from Shaw High School in East Cleveland in 1955 wherehe played football but was kicked off the team. He went to college in his 30's and 40's primarily in the Kansas City area at Schools like Baker University and Mid American Nazarene university. He eventually obtained a masters in Substance abuse counseling and taught courses at St Mary's in Leavenworth and at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Religious Beliefs

No though his relatives were. He eventually came to believe in a Higher Power as he Matured.
Military Service

Donn served in the Air Force in the late 1950's in Truro Massachusetts where he worked as a Radar Operator at an Early Warning station during the Cold War.
Professional Career

Early in life He worked in Multiple Jobs from Steelworker to Bartender. But after 1974 he became a Substance abuse counselor who eventually ran a Salvation Army Treatment center in Kansas City Kansas.

Did you know?

In 1937, in the year that Donn C Camlin was born, on May 6th, the German zeppelin the Hindenburg caught fire and blew up. The Hindenburg was a passenger ship traveling to Frankfurt Germany. It tried to dock in New Jersey, one of the stops, and something went wrong - it blew up. Thirty-six people were killed out of the 97 on board - 13 passengers, 22 crewmen, and one ground worker. The reasons for the explosion are still disputed.

Did you know?

In 1945, on April 12th, President Franklin D. Roosevelt died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Warm Springs, Georgia. At 1p, he was sitting for a portrait when he complained that he had a "terrific pain" in the back of his head and collapsed. A doctor was summoned and the doctor gave him a shot of adrenaline into his heart. It didn't help and he was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. A slow moving train took him back to Washington D.C. while thousands of mourners lined the tracks. He was buried at his home in Hyde Park, New York.
