Introduction

Dora Geary was married later in life to James Edward Barr (1898-1963). They did not produce any children. Dora left Stawell in Victoria and in 1930 was living at 29 Knowles Avenue Bondi in Sydney's eastern suburbs. She subsequently relocated to 7 Rose Street Hurstville and at that residence she lived alongside her unmarried brother Victor James Geary, her married sister Mutelle Annie White (nee Geary), and also her mother Euphemia Florence Augusta Hook (nee Meadows). She remained at this address until her death in 1967. She was described in 1937 electoral roll as a saleswoman.
