Dorathea Oberjuerge Torluemke
I have an old studio photograph identified as Dorathea OBERJUERGE TORLUEMKE which was taken at the Genelli Studio in St. Louis, MO sometime in the 1890's with Dorathea appearing to be in her early teens at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Dorathea and her family:
Dorathea “Dora” Anna OBERJUERGE or OBERJERGE or OBERJURGE was b. 1880 in Missouri to parents Karl & Minna OBERJERGE and married Peter Heinrich “Henry” TORLUEMKE or THORLUMKE (1876-1953) on 22 Oct 1902 in St. Louis, MO. The couple had four children including Walter Karl Heinrich; Ella Louise Wilhelmine; Hulda Lucille; and Arthur W. TORLUEMKE, all born between 1903 and 1911. Dora died 13 Jul 1939 and is buried in the Oberlin Cemetery in Oberlin, KS.
