Doris May was my Aunty. Once I was visiting my other Aunty Elva and Aunty Doris was too. At that time my Grandmother Sara May (Mary Elizabeth) was staying with Aunty Elva so we had a lovely photograph taken on the beautiful 1800s verandah of Aunty Elva's Queensland home. I treasure that photograph todayas it is one of the few I have. I will try to post more commemorative photos later. I recall that Aunty Doris had a ginger cat of which she was very fond. It died whilst she was away and fortunately I managed to find a little statuette of a ginger cat to console her. I did not realise just how much she appreciated that little gift. I had not seen Aunty Doris for a very long time before she died. I hope to see her in the realm beyond one day and be able to visit her as much as I want...no distance too much trouble.
