She married Edward James Bentick Burton, and had children George Edward Burton and William Herbert Burton. Edith Burton died at age 38 years old on December 5, 1928 in Frankston, Frankston City County, and was buried at Frankston Memorial Park 63 Cranbourne Rd, in Frankston.
