DITH HAMILTON Died On Sunday: Edith Kester Hamilton, age 34, wife of A.A. Hamilton, passed away at their Indianapolis home Sunday. Mrs Hamilton, before her marriage, taught in the Washington township schools and at the Grant County orphans' home and was a graduate of the Marion city schools and the Marion Normal College. The body will be brought to Marion today and will be taken to the Kester home, 1204 North Washington Street. The funeral service will be held at the Highland Avenue M.E. Church at 2 O'Clock, Wednesday afternoon. Her father, G.W. Kester, husband (Aciel Augustus Hamilton), grandfather, and one daughter, Mary Louise Hamilton, survive." Edith F. Kester was born on December 21, 1889, in Jasper County, Illinois to George W. Kester, a Jeweler residing in Marion, Indiana at the time of Edith's marriage to AA Hamilton. George W. Kester was born in Clark County, Ohio. Aciel Augustus Hamilton married Edith F. Kester on March 10, 1913 (date of signature on license) at Marion, Grant County, Indiana The Grant County Indiana marriage to Aciel Augustis Hamilton states that a Bertha V. Bradford of Grant County, Indiana was Edith Kester's mother but that she was deceased at the time of Edith's marriage to Aciel A. Hamilton. The 1900 US Census record Edith Kester living with her father George W. Kester,34, born June 1865 in Ohio, and his wife Dolly, 27, born January 1873, in Ohio. It appears that Bertha V. Bradford was either the biological mother or the stepmother. A.A. Hamilton is Aciel Augustus Hamilton born on October 6, 1893, in Marion, Grant Couunty, Indiana to Clayson F. Hamilton and Myrtle Fear. Edith F. Kester Hamilton was buried at the Estates of Serenity (Also known as: IOOF Cemetery, Marion IOOF Cemetery),1101 S.
