Edith Glenn (Crain) Hanover was born on September 11, 1892 in McGregor, McLennan County, Texas USA to Glenn Willis Crain Sr and Mary Elizabeth (Gulledge) Crain, and had a sister Ethel G. Crain. She married Hiram Howard Hanover Sr on May 27, 1915, and they were married until Hiram's death on May 19, 1969. She had children Elizabeth (Hanover) Corder, Edward Howard Hanover Sr, and Eleanor Glenn (Hanover) Nance. Edith Hanover died at age 81 years old on October 3, 1973 in Bryan, Brazos County, and was buried at Wheelock Cemetery in Wheelock, Robertson County.

This girl in 1898 had it all (in terms of fashion): ringlets, hat, bow, and frilly dress. It's hard to believe that this treasure is a "found" photo.
I could be wrong, but I see her with auburn red hair and either blue or green eyes. Very regal expression for a child. She looks like mom is dressing her like a 6 year old, and she is really 9 or 10. She may have had a very dominating mother, this is an unusual expression for a child.
