Edith Strode Smith 1917 - 2000

Edith Strode Smith of Belton, Anderson County, SC was born on August 18, 1917 in East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey United States. She married John Major Conwell, and they had a child Edith Robinson Conwell. She would also marry Richard Frank Bates. Edith Smith died at age 82 years old on April 6, 2000 at Westminster Canterbury in Richmond, VA, and was buried at Amherst Cemetery in Amherst, Amherst County.
