    Edward C. "Ted" Corcoran, Jr., 71, Cottonwood, AZ, died Aug. 9, 2009, in Prescott, AZ. Ted was born May 21, 1938, in Beaver Falls, PA, and attended St. Mary's parochial school, Beaver Falls Senior High and Penn State University. Ted served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division and the "Big Red One" 1st Division in Viet Nam as a combat Infantry Platoon Leader. After graduating from Officer Candidate School as a 2nd Lieutenant, he served with distinction until 1967 and was decorated in both divisions to include a Combat Infantry Badge. He worked in the family business until he retired to Cottonwood, AZ, in 1991 where he volunteered as a driver for the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by parents Edward C. Corcoran Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Brickner Corcoran and his brother Raymond E. Corcoran. He is survived by his wife, Joan Marlene Daugherty Corcoran; daughter, Teryn Lynn (Chris) Swager; three grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole and Nathan and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Beaver Falls, PA. Donations in his honor can be made to any hospice program. Information provided by survivors.
