He had siblings Samuel Hearn, Robert Eli Hearn, Mary (Hearn) Louttit, Martha Hearn, Catherine Hearn, George Elijah Hearn, Sarah Eliza (Hearn) Branston, Lucy Alicia (Hearn) Giblin, and John Frederick Hearn. Eli Hearn married Louisa Curson (Padgett) Hearn, and died at age 63 years old on March 27, 1922 in Ararat.
